As you might already know, Amazon Ads won’t let you filter the campaign manager for more than 60 days. Meaning you can’t check historical data per day or per month for more than 60 days.

The Amazon Ads API works very similarly, only sending 60 to 95 days of historical PPC data to Shopkeeper.

Is there a way to add more than 60-95 days of PPC historical data?

Yes.

And as Shopkeeper know how key PPC is for an accurate profit calculation, we are releasing the Historical PPC service to account for all your PPC historical data in your profit calculation. The goal of this service is for us to assist you in uploading that PPC historical data.

In this article, we will cover what we need from you to input your Historical PPC data, and what you can expect to see in your breakdowns and P&L profit calculations.

Stay tuned!

Key Acronyms

SP: Sponsor Products campaigns

SB: Sponsor Brands campaigns.

SD: Sponsor Display campaigns.

ST: Sponsor TV services campaigns.

How can you get more than 60 days of Historical PPC data?

We need to clarify that more than 60-95 days of historical data isn’t available for SB, SD, ST, and Amazon DSP campaigns. So you’ll only be able to follow this procedure with SP campaigns (at least for now).

First and foremost, please log in to the Amazon advertising console you can find here. Once there, please follow the instructions below.

Step-by-step guide

  • Please click the hamburger icon in the left corner of the screen.

  • Then click Measurement and Reporting to expand its options.

  • Click the Sponsor Ad Reports.

  • Once you’re on the Measurement & Reporting page, click the Create report blue button.

  • Now with the report configuration pop-up opened, please click on the Report category option, select Sponsor Products.

  • Then, on the Report Type option, select Campaign.

  • Select Daily on the Time unit option so you get granular information.

  • Select the date range you want us to upload. Please consider you already have 60 days from the day you connected Amazon Ads to Shopkeeper.

  • Please customize the report name under Report name as follows: PPC Historical Data Service (Shopkeeper email).

  • Click on Run Report. The pop up will be closed and you’ll go back to the Measurement & Reporting page.

  • Lastly, click the download button for the generated report PPC Historical Data Service (Shopkeeper email).

Final step from your side

As you can see, the report has specific data per day that we will be able to input for you. However, Amazon won’t assing an ASIN to those campaigns spends. For Shopkeeper to link the campaigns to specific ASINs, please proceed as follows:

  • Open the downloaded PPC Historical Data Service (Shopkeeper email).

  • Add an ASIN column, left side of the campaign name column.

  • Then, please add the ASIN for each campaign, so Shopkeeper knows how to assign the campaigns to your ASINs.

  • Finally, save the file and send it to us via Shopkeeper > Help & Support > Chat support or support@shopkeeper.com with PPC Historical Data Service (Shopkeeper email) as the email subject.

File upload

We will review the file and reach out to you in case we need more information. Or just to let you know that your PPC Historical Data has already been uploaded, and you can review it.

How will you see the data on your Shopkeeper account?

You’ll see all that PPC data under the manual expense section per campaign.

This way, you can ensure that your data has been correctly populated in your Shopkeeper account.

Please feel free to reach out to support@shopkeeper.com if you have any questions regarding this service.
